SOLGEN Organized Golf Skills Training Activities

On 29 – 30 June 2022 and 6-7 July 2022 time 4:30-7:30 PM, School of Languages and General Education led by Assistant Professor Doctor Luckhana Srisongkram Pimjan lecturer in the Department of General Education Organize golf skills training activities with honor from Assistant Professor Doctor Suebpong Jindapol an expert in golf skills is a lecturer who gives knowledge. Walailak University students were interested in participating in the activity, about 40 people.

SOLGEN Student Club

The Student Leadership Development Program is a project to empower leaders to know themselves. understand others This project will be the beginning of the SOLGEN Student Club to inspire members to take initiatives. Create activities that will benefit the students in the university.
 
“SOLGEN Student Club” was developed in collaboration with school members, SOLGEN staff , and the students who wish to spend their free time productively with the aim of creating a system of care, assistance, and capacity building for students under the framework “friends help friends”.
 
The School of Languages and General Education recognized the the importance of enhancing extracurricular activities by students who have studied in general education courses able to apply knowledge outside the classroom It also encourages students to know how to help their fellow students together. The operation of “SOLGEN Student Club” has brought together students who wished to enhance their experience at Walailak University and focused on the development of Walailak University students to be “intellectual, good, happy”.

SOLGEN lecturers joined auspicious blessing ceremony on Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana

On Monday, July 4, 2022, at the main conference room, Thaiburi Building, Aj. Pavirasa Praditsorn and Dr. Chuthamat Rattikansukha, the lecturers of General Education Department, School of Languages and General Educaion and members of WU Ensemble club sang and played the university anthem to summon the emblem of the university on the auspicious occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana’ s birthday anniversary.

               Today (4 July 2022) at the main auditorium, Thaiburi Building, Assistant professor Piyachat Suengtee, Acting Deputy Dean of School of Languages and General education, Dr. Thawiluck Poolrachom, Acting  Head of  General Education Department, and Mr. Supawich Phanphoch, Academic Officer, as a representative of the School, offering a phalanx to pay homage in front of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana picture.

               However, participation in honoring and offering a merit, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, personnel of School of Languages and General Education joined the merit making offerings to the monks at Ploenta courtyard, Thaiburi Building.

SOLGEN Organizing a Welcome and Orientation for New Lecturer

        On Thursday, 30 June 2022, School of Languages and General Education organized a welcome and orientation for new lecturer at Meeting Room 1, Academic Building 5, Associate Professor Dr. Mallika Charoensuthasinee, Acting Dean, welcomed new lecturers, namely Dr. Van Louis Serrano Lo and Mrs. Lalhmunmawii Kachchhap, lecturer of Languages Department and also Dr. Panyupa Thammawat, Aj, Kanokkan Muangkaew, and Aj. Methus Siriwat, lecturers in General Education Department. After that the School members had lunch together.

School of Languages and General Education has research publications 1:1 that have been accepted to publish and publish in June which consists of 5  papers as follows:

SOLGEN Run for Life’65

In the evening of June 22, 2022, the School of Languages and General Education, Walailak University organizes the SOLGEN Run for Life project for the academic year 2022 to enable students and personnel to develop and promote good health. It was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Worawut Somsak, an Acting Vice President who presided over the opening of the event.
The School of Languages and General Education realized the importance of developing graduate quality, the use of free time to engage in various activities of students, and the selection of exercise activities suitable for the current situation and enabling students to gain knowledge and experience skills in sports and exercise. Therefore, SOLGEN RUN for LIFE 65 activity has been set up so that the students, personnel, and the general public can exercise in their daily lives for leading to good health. This is an important foundation for the development of being healthy, both physically, mentally, and socially.
In organizing the project, the school received courtesy from Walailak University Hospital, Central service,  Green University Project, faculty, and the students who support participating in this activity.

SOLGEN Organize Training Developing Personnel's Potential in Teaching International Programs

School of Languages and General Education organized a project to develop personnel potential in teaching international courses on June 2,2022 from 10.00-16.00 pm. online through ZOOM. Lectures on the topic “Teaching and Teaching Management in International Programs”. describe by Wimonsiri Hemtanon lecturer, Lecturer at the Department of International Cultural Studies and Languages Mahidol University International College. and on June 10, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., online via ZOOM, giving a lecture on the topic “Management of teaching and learning Thai language in international programs” Lecturer by Mr. Danai Ployplai PhD student in Thai language course Chulalongkorn University.

To improve the quality and competence of the English language proficiency of the School of languages and General Education staff in teaching in international programs, to boost confidence and improve techniques, methods of communication, and teaching management in general education courses for international courses with teachers in the field of general education, Participating in this training were 34 participants. They achieved the trainers’ highest rating of 4.84 for overall satisfaction during this training.

SOLGEN Organized Training and Workshops to Enhance the Competence of Physical Education Academics to the Way of Teaching Sports
in a Changing World

School of Languages and General Education organized a project Workshop on how to increase the capacity of physical education scholars to the way of teaching sports in a changing world on June 8, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Room AD1213, Architectural and Design Building. Walailak University.Piyanut Khunsawat lecturer and teachers who teach sports and health subjects As a training provider throughout the training. and was honored by Associate Professor Doctor Voravuth Somsak Acting Deputy Dean or Acting Vice Dean said the opening of the project. and  Associate Professor Doctor Mullica Jaroensutasinee Acting Dean of School of Languages and General Education attended a lecture on the topic “Evaluation criteria for teaching by students”.

The goal of the training is to provide personnel of sports and health centers with knowledge and understanding about the importance of adjusting their roles as physical education academics in both dimensions of Professional competence (Competent), commitment, dedication (Commitment) and love, generosity and appreciation of each other (Care) develop competence and potential of physical education academics. in teaching and learning to be the most effective and for physical education academics to apply the knowledge gained in teaching and learning effectively There were 15 participants in this training program. Most of the participants gave the highest level of assessment results throughout the project. which has a score of 4.89.
