GEN67-131 Thai Civilization and Global Citizen

This course aims to study the concept of citizenship both under the national and global context through an investigation of a high dynamism knowledge of Thai citizenship, Thai-ness, and the local community in the globalized world. It also sheds the light on the following critical issues namely global citizenship, digital citizenship, multiculturalism, neoliberalism, global warming and environmental changes, ethics, and responsibilities as a citizen to enhance students' awareness and coexistence skill under the highly dynamic Thai society and global context with responsibility toward oneself, others and society, the importance of morality, and active citizenship with public mind as Thai and global citizens.

The General Education Development adopts a team teaching approach, with course coordinators responsible for liaising with lecturers in the processes of course development, lesson planning, teaching delivery, and assessment. Instruction is organized in small groups of 40–45 students. All groups use the same teaching materials, assessment criteria, and instructional methods to ensure consistency. Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) is integrated into the teaching process to encourage students to observe their surroundings, formulate questions, seek answers, and synthesize information from observations, inquiries, or various sources. Students are also given opportunities to apply their learning to build their own experiences. This approach supports the development of desirable graduate attributes and fosters 21st century learning.

                  collect, analyze, and present information.
GELO 10 Demonstrate responsibility towards oneself, others,
                  and society.
GELO 11  Display leadership by taking on a leadership role and
                  collaborating with others as a team member.
GELO 12 Demonstrate a willingness to volunteer.
GELO 13 Demonstrate keen learner skills and continuously
                  develop yourself in planning and managing your life.
