Course Description

This course is designed for the students in A2 level (Basic Users), which focuses on the development of listening and speaking skills in English. Through individual and group activities, it imparts students with the requisite knowledge and strategies to improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, and listening abilities. It strengthens students’ capabilities in verbal communication and understanding spoken English from various sources.

Teaching Management

The Languages Department also employs a team teaching approach, with course coordinators responsible for coordinating with lecturers throughout the processes of course development, lesson planning, teaching delivery, and assessment. Classes are conducted in small groups of approximately 25 students. Each group applies the same teaching tools, assessment criteria, and instructional methods to maintain consistency. Storytelling is integrated into teaching to stimulate imagination and creativity while connecting to students’ real-life experiences. This approach enhances classroom participation, creates an enjoyable and positive attitude toward language learning, and builds a strong foundation in language, including grammar, vocabulary, and other English language skills.
