SOLGEN Lecturers Lead Acting Workshop for Standardized Patients

On 29–30 August 2026, Asst. Prof. Khalid Midam, Acting Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and Dr. Kanit Sripaoraya from the School of Languages and General Education (SOLGEN), Walailak University, served as trainers for the “Workshop: Acting Skills and Characterization,” organized by the School of Medicine.

The workshop focused on basic acting, communication, and character-building skills to help participants perform realistically as standardized patients. Standardized patients support medical education by helping students practise history-taking, communication, and diagnosis in simulated situations.

SOLGEN lecturers and support staff also joined the workshop to prepare for their roles as standardized patients in medical teaching and examinations.
