Walailak University, through the Center for International Affairs (CIA), supported Aj. Methus Siriwat from the School of Languages and General Education (SOLGEN) with an international collaboration grant for academic work in Japan from 1–3 May 2026.

During the visit, Aj. Methus was invited by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kosit Tiptiampong from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) to give a guest lecture in the course Seminar of Thai Culture and Literature. His lecture topic was “Regional Thai Dialects and Cultural Identity.”

This activity helped share knowledge about Thai language and culture with international students. It also strengthened academic cooperation between Walailak University and a leading university in Japan.
