SOLGEN and UUM co-organized a forum discussion on “Leadership Empowerment and Development: Global Cultural Exchange”
On September 27, 2025, the Student Affairs Office of the School of Languages and General Education (SOLGEN) led 10 Walailak University students to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), where they joined 8 student representatives from the School of Education Student Club to co-organize a Forum Discussion on the topic “Leadership Empowerment and Development: Global Cultural Exchange” from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
During the forum, students from both institutions exchanged ideas, shared their visions for jointly advancing their universities, and discussed their experiences in organizing activities to develop 21st-century skills and improve English proficiency. They also proposed future student collaboration initiatives, such as:
English development through Play-Based Learning,
Edutainment forums,
Online storytelling competitions,
An International Volunteer Camp hosted by Walailak University, and
Inviting Universiti Utara Malaysia students to serve as facilitators in Walailak University’s Pre-English Program in 2026.
The event was conducted smoothly, with students actively exchanging ideas and expressing strong interest in expanding joint activities in the future.
