The General Education Department, School of Languages and General Education (SOLGEN), organized a camping activity focused on the conservation of natural resources and the environment for Semester 2/2023. The event took place from December 2nd to 4th, 2023, at Krabi Scout Camp, Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, and Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park in Mueang District, Krabi Province. A total of 74 students enrolled in the course GED65-147: Camping for the Conservation of Nature and Environment participated in the activities. The event was honored by the presence of Lieutenant Sawat Pudmak and a team of instructors from the 2nd Marine Infantry Regiment, Marine Division, Royal Thai Marine Corps, who served as mentors and led various walk rally and recreational activities.
This activity aimed to provide students with the opportunity to learn and live together in an outdoor setting, fostering endurance and adaptability amidst the challenges posed by global warming and environmental degradation. By immersing themselves in nature and recognizing the importance of conserving natural resources, the program sought to instill a deep-seated consciousness and sustainable appreciation for environmental preservation among the students for the future.
