Policies of School of Languages and General Education

under the administration of Asst.Prof.Dr Pongsathorn Dechatiwongse Na Ayuthaya

Asst.Prof.Dr Pongsathorn Dechatiwongse Na Ayuthaya has 16 policies to govern the school as follows;

  • Develop and manage the General Education Curriculum to be consistent with the Walailak University policy of enhancing 21st-century skills, the national needs, and international entry
  • Develop quality teaching and learning management under UKPSF professional standards framework and enhance students’ thinking, analyzing, and synthesizing skills.
  • Develop learning supportive environment for students using small smart classroom, active learning and formative assessment to track students learning
  • To support every student from all Schools as if they were students of the School of Languages and General Education
  • Develop a student support system for decreasing the number of dropout students
  • Promote and support activities that cooperate among students, faculty members, and staff within the School to develop learning beyond the classroom
  • Develop supporting facilities and research enhancing ecosystem for lecturer, departments and school
  • Strengthen research cooperation by focusing on interdisciplinary collaborative research with academician both within and outside the country
  • Promote research to meet the needs of society, especially research aimed at sustainable development of society in terms of education, culture and environment, etc.
  • Promote integration of academic services with teaching or research missions
  • Promote academic service projects in both free and commercial forms
  • Promote the creation of a network of cooperation between faculty members and the industry, community, government agencies and the private sector
  • Integrate the work of preserving arts and culture with the mission of teaching, researching or providing academic services to society
  • Promote the activities that lead to the creation of arts and culture to preserve Thai and international arts and culture with participation of faculty, staff, students and outsiders
  • Encourage cooperation with various agencies in organizing activities related to arts and culture
  • Have the principles of justice to equally treat every employee in the workplace regarding employment, promotion, assessment, and compensation for employees, including prevention of unfair discrimination
  • Have the principles of integrity, emphasize, and adhere to the performance of duties of all levels of employees for the benefit of the public and the nation
  • Have the principles of respectfulness to the individual of the employees. Emphasize and accept the distinction of idea, belief, and lifestyle of the employees
  • Emphasize the quality of life of the employees including developing employee career paths
  • Promote the employee development in order to work effectively and increase the capability of working in the future
  • Develop potential employees to be the leader in the future for the administration continuity

  • Implement a transparent and verifiable recruiting process

  • Use a fair evaluation process consistent with the performance of personnel
  • Implement a performance evaluation system that emphasizes objectives and teamwork
  • Use performance evaluation as a mirror to reflect employee performance so it can be used as valuable information for future operations and individual development

  • There are no more than three levels of proposing, screening, and approving
  • Assign executive-level to be responsible for both administration and personnel management tasks and have the power to make decisions in the scope of their duties

  • Focus on risk management that affects objectives and policies, including the reputation and image of the organization
  • Manage the risk to be at an acceptable level. All employees are involved in the risk management process
  • Encourage employees throughout the organization to be aware of and prevent all risks that may arise
  • Audit, follow up, and assess the risks that may occur according to the changing environment from internal and external organizations continuously
  • Facilitate risk management to be part of the organizational culture that leads to creativity and value to the organization
  • Develop the system and mechanism for monitoring and improving the quality assurance in each year to comply with the objectives and policy of the university
  • Encourage the incorporation of the quality assurance system as part of the organization governance and bring the results of the internal and external quality assessments to continually improve the quality of the organization
  • Develop the database system to facilitate the preparation of the quality assurance report to be able to analyze the data for planning systematically and use the data to make decisions at all levels
  • Develop personnel at all levels to have knowledge of educational quality assurance and promote knowledge exchange with the internal and external organizations
  • Govern the organization with the Good Governance
  • Make risk management plans and monitor the operation effectively
  • Promote and support the use of resources including property maintenance and prevention of errors, damage, leak, wastage, or corruption within the organization
  • All personnel strictly comply with the related rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines that the organization has defined
  • Focus on the future-oriented management and organizational change that covered structure, technology, personnel, and resources
  • Have a holistic approach for the organizational management. All personnel are oriented towards the same direction and goals.

  • Develop a commercial academic service project to allocate income for organization and personnel development
