“OTOP 2020” The Development of Product Logo and Packaging under One Tambon One Product Project

          General Education Department, School of Languages and General Education by Academic Service Working Group joined with Science Park, Walailak University to work in the project of the Development of Product Brand and Packaging under One Tambon One Product. The team got the grants from OTOP 2020 under the Upper South University Network to bring technology, innovation, knowledge and researches to help OTOP sellers to improve their business capacity.

          In the area of upper south of Thailand, there are still many small and micro community enterprises and many OTOP products which are needed of the packaging development and logo development to make the product stand out and unique. It is the way to make products of small and micro community enterprises to be able to compete in the domestic market and oversea market. It is also the way to increase the value, price, and the income of the sellers as well.

          The target group which was selected by the team were 10 sellers: 9 are food sellers and 1 is the herb seller. Two were in the Chumphon province and 8 were in Nakhon si Thammarat province to cover the upper south region. The process was to provide knowledge to sellers in the project, how to build the brand to be remembered and how to create product logo and packaging. The working group went to meet the sellers in Nakhon si Thammarat, Chumphon, Ranong to select sellers and assess sellers in depth. The working group design product logo and packaging together with the sellers in order to complete the project. The advisor/packaging and logo development experts are Ajarn Songphan Janthong and Ajarn Sakunich Janthong from General Education Department, School of Languages and General Education
